Teams
The Structure
Team structure at GolfCircl is designed to bring together passionate golfers of various skill levels. Teams are made up of owners, captains, vice captains, and a pool of players categorized into three flights (e.g., players shooting in the 70s, 80s, and 90s).
Player pool: Players apply to be part of the Draft process and additionally, express their interest to be Owner/Captain/Vice Captain. Bidding process would be initiated if multiple players show interest to be Owners.
Owners: Individuals responsible for assembling and managing a team of golfers. They purchase and oversee teams, shaping their composition and strategies. They play a pivotal role in the Auction/Draft Night, where they bid on and acquire players. Once the team is formed, team owners provide guidance, support, and resources to their team members throughout the season. They often act as mentors, motivators, and facilitators, ensuring that the team operates smoothly.
Captains: Chosen by team owners from the player pool and must come from the top flight. Captains are the key decision-makers for the team. They take on a leadership role, offering guidance, strategizing, and fostering a sense of camaraderie among team members. Captains are responsible for making strategic decisions during team matches, such as selecting pairings and offering valuable input on game strategies.
Vice Captains: Picked by Captains and Owners from the player pool. Each Vice Captain belongs to one of the three flights.Vice Captains provide assistance to the Captain/Owner and actively participate in the draft process. Core members often have a significant influence on the team's performance and strategy. They serve as role models for other team members and help maintain team cohesion.
